Adrian Dica

Adrian Dica’s painting investigates the traces human existence inscribes in matter, memory and time. Working in series, he builds and deconstructs the painted surface through a process in which deliberate decisions coexist with controlled accident.
A contemporary visual artist whose practice centres on painting, Adrian Dica works with oil, acrylic, industrial paints, stains and pigments. His series - Preapocalyptic, Wasted, Post-industrial Landscapes, Intermezzo and Seeds - trace transformations of landscape and material memory, from abandoned industrial spaces to abstract forms and painting installations. His work has been presented at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the London Art Biennale and Art on a Postcard.
