Dan St. Andrei

Dan St. Andrei is a contemporary visual artist working across photography, painting, drawing and mixed media. His practice explores solitude, memory and metamorphosis, transforming fragments of everyday reality into dreamlike, symbolic and deeply personal images.

Born in Bucharest in 1969, Dan St. Andrei has more than three decades of experience in art direction, photography, design and visual communication. He has lived and worked intermittently in Paris, Valencia, Tampa and Lisbon, and currently lives and works in Bucharest. His photographic practice, shaped by atmospheric tension and composition, provides a foundation for his painting and drawing, where visual precision gradually gives way to gesture, material, imperfection and an inner rhythm.
